Path Water Bottles

As one of the largest hotels in Miami Beach, occupying 16 oceanfront acres, Eden Roc Miami Beach understands the significance of ocean conservation. To support the neighboring oceans and marine life, we are delighted to introduce a new sustainable initiative. Each guest room at Eden Roc Miami Beach will now include 2 reusable water bottles for guests, for $6++ each, to use throughout their stay, refilling at the refillable water stations found at the hotel.

By opting for reusable bottles instead of non-biodegradable plastic water bottles, our guests are helping us reduce our plastic usage and save over 125,000 plastic bottles annually. We hope that this practice of cutting down on single-use plastics extends beyond our guests’ stay with us.

Together, we engage our guests, staff, and local community members in these meaningful initiatives, fostering a sense of environmental stewardship and inspiring others to join our cause. By collaborating with Clean Miami Beach, we ensure that our beaches remain breathtakingly beautiful for generations to come.

Preserving Our Environment Through Art

As a 16 acre oceanfront resort,  we are deeply committed to supporting sustainability through the powerful medium of art, and we are thrilled to announce our partnership with the esteemed National Geographic photographer Paul Nicklen. Our collaboration with Paul Nicklen not only brings his extraordinary artwork to our space but also allows us to contribute meaningfully to sustainability initiatives. We are proud to offer his artwork for sale, with all proceeds directed towards supporting SeaLegacy, a non-profit organization that shares our passion for preserving our oceans and marine life. This partnership exemplifies our commitment to promoting environmental awareness and underscores the belief that art can be a powerful force for positive change.

Environmental Impact

Plastic Pollution

Each year, an estimated 8 million metric tons of plastic waste enters the ocean, contributing to a total of over 150 million metric tons of plastic currently circulating in marine environments.

Mircoplastics

Microplastics, tiny plastic particles measuring less than 5 millimeters, have become a significant concern. It is estimated that there are over 5 trillion pieces of microplastics in the ocean, weighing more than 250,000 metric tons.

Marine Debris

Approximately 80% of marine debris comes from land-based sources, including littering, inadequate waste management systems, and urban runoff. This debris includes various materials like plastic, glass, metal, and rubber.
